MS Lending Group, a UK-based financial services company, wanted to elevate their client gifting strategy during the festive season. Known for their tailored, high-value approach, the brand sought a premium way to express appreciation while reinforcing their identity. The goal: create a luxury branded advent calendar that would leave a lasting impression and offer an engaging daily unboxing experience.

 

From 2022 through 2024, MS Lending partnered with Magellan to design and produce a series of bespoke corporate advent calendars—each filled with a curated selection of miniature drinks and premium chocolates. These calendars were carefully crafted to reflect the brand’s values and strengthen client relationships through thoughtful, high-quality seasonal gifting.

Shared Calendar Specifications

Across all three years, MS Lending’s custom advent calendars followed a consistent premium format to ensure brand continuity and structural quality. Each calendar featured a rigid 3mm board outer shell with dual magnetic closing doors, giving it a refined presentation and secure closure. Inside, 24 pull-out drawers were constructed from folding box board, each fitted with half-moon thumb cuts for ease of opening.

The calendars were fully printed in vibrant CMYK and finished with a smooth anti-scuff matte lamination—offering durability and a premium tactile feel. With outer dimensions of 335mm (L) x 225mm (H) x 130mm (D), and drawer sizes at 120mm x 50mm x 50mm, the structure was ideal for holding a variety of mini products. Every unit was carefully fulfilled, individually wrapped with protective layers, and shipped across the UK to arrive in pristine, gift-ready condition.

CUSTOM ADVENT CALENDAR

2024: Tailoring Client Experience with Alcohol and Chocolate Options

In 2024, MS Lending introduced a new level of personalisation with two distinct advent calendar versions: one containing an assortment of 24 miniature alcohol bottles, and another offering a luxurious non-alcoholic chocolate selection. This approach allowed the brand to accommodate varied client preferences while maintaining the same premium look and feel.

The drinks calendar featured premium branded miniatures such as Kraken Rum, Absolut Citron, Bombay Sapphire, Southern Comfort, and Malibu. The chocolate version included indulgent favourites like Tony’s Chocolonely bars and Lindor truffles. Both editions used the same high-spec finish—full CMYK print, anti-scuff matte lamination, and magnetic closure—to ensure a cohesive, luxurious unboxing experience. With 200 units in total, the 2024 collection reflected MS Lending’s ongoing commitment to thoughtful and inclusive corporate gifting.

2023: Evolving the Design with a Festive Focus

Following the success of their initial calendar, MS Lending updated the design for 2023 to incorporate a more festive visual direction. New illustrations of Christmas trees, ribbons, gifts, and stars were introduced, seamlessly blending into the brand’s signature orange and blue colour palette.

The logo was made more prominent, wrapping around all visible panels of the calendar to maximise brand exposure. The drawer contents were also refreshed, including an expanded range of premium miniatures such as Courvoisier Cognac, Hendrick’s Gin, Chivas Regal, Southern Comfort, and Tequila Jose Gold. 100 units were produced, packed with care, and fulfilled to ensure each recipient received a well-branded, memorable festive gift.

2022: Launching the First MS Lending Custom Advent Calendar

The inaugural edition launched in 2022, introducing MS Lending’s distinctive orange and navy blue branding through a bold, festive design. Snowflake motifs added a seasonal feel, while the logo placement ensured consistent brand visibility from front to side panels.

Each drawer contained a unique miniature spirit, with no consecutive repeats—building anticipation and surprise throughout December. The drinks lineup included premium brands such as Baileys, Jack Daniels, Absolut Vodka, Hendrick’s Gin, and Kraken Rum. A total of 80 units were produced, setting a strong foundation for future campaigns and establishing the calendar as a standout piece in MS Lending’s festive marketing.

Production, Fulfilment and Impact

Magellan managed the full end-to-end production and fulfilment process across all three years—handling everything from print and assembly to packaging and UK-wide delivery. Each calendar was placed in protective wrap, bubble-packed, and shipped via tracked, signed-for delivery services to guarantee a premium unboxing experience.

Client feedback was overwhelmingly positive. Recipients praised the calendars for their creativity, quality, and presentation. As a result, MS Lending successfully used these luxury advent calendars to strengthen brand loyalty, stand out from competitors, and create a personal connection with their audience during the busiest time of year.

Over three years, Magellan produced more than 380 custom luxury advent calendars for MS Lending Group—each representing a seamless fusion of premium packaging, strategic branding, and festive spirit. By evolving the visual identity year-on-year while maintaining structural consistency, the brand was able to deliver a gifting experience that felt fresh, tailored, and consistently high-end.
