Palmarae Gin | Luxury Drinks Packaging with Custom Butted Tubes
The goal was to design a tube solution that would align with the brand’s luxury positioning while safeguarding delicate bottles during distribution. Magellan’s experience in high-end drinks packaging ensured that both structural integrity and brand storytelling were seamlessly integrated into the final product.
Custom Butted Tube Design for Premium Spirits
We produced a series of custom butted cardboard tubes, each measuring 370mm tall and 100mm in diameter, with a deep 50mm lid for a precise fit around Palmarae’s ceramic bottles. The tube design featured rolled edges to reinforce strength and deliver a clean, seamless appearance.
Crafted using 150gsm uncoated white Kraft paper, the packaging had a soft, matte texture to reflect the brand’s natural and artisanal qualities. Key luxury finishing techniques were used throughout — including copper foil stamping, embossed detailing, and matt lamination — resulting in packaging that not only protected the product but elevated its shelf presence and unboxing experience.
Luxury Finishes that Elevate Brand Identity
To reinforce Palmarae Gin’s premium aesthetic, we implemented fine details such as foil stamping in rich copper tones, adding a metallic accent that highlighted the logo and palm motifs. These elements were further enhanced through embossing, delivering a tactile quality that engaged customers visually and physically.
These luxury finishes turned the tube into a branded experience — not just a container. Ideal for gifting, retail displays, or e-commerce, this packaging reflected how rigid cardboard tubes can deliver both protection and high perceived value. The result was a packaging solution that supported Palmarae’s mission to leave a lasting impression in the competitive luxury spirits market.
